By default YUM configuration shipped with fedora doesnt contain support cheome installation

to install chrome first we need to edit yu.conf (/etc/yum.conf),do as below

]# vi /etc/yum.conf

[google]

name=Google – i386

baseurl=http://dl.google.com/linux/rpm/stable/i386

enabled=1

gpgcheck=1

gpgkey=https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub

Install Chrome from commandline

]# yum install google-chrome-stable

but this will be an earlier version , download google chrome directly from their site

http://www.google.com/chrome/eula.html

Now install from command line

]#rpm-ivh google-chrome-stable_current_i386.rpm

this wil replace the installed old version with the latest version
