Google and Facebook ban in india

India is about to ban offensive content from internet , after facebook the government is behind google asking to ban objectionable contents from their websites, unfortunately the companies reported its not that easy to monitor all content and if so to bring an online system it will take much more time to deploy such, contents include image , video and text and all of these need to be authorised or checked befor getting live, how it can be as millions of updates made every second., another requirement from government asks the companies to give us them data, “where these images are being uploaded and who is doing it.”

The goverment asked google and facebook , to

“develop a mechanism to keep a check and remove offensive and objectionable material from their web pages”,

— Justice Suresh Kait was quoted as saying by the Press Trust of India.

India, the world’s largest democracy, has more than 110 million Internet users out of a population of 1.2 billion, with predictions that 600 million people will be online in the next five years.
Facebook and Google had moved the High Court to stay a summons issued last month by a lower court that is hearing a private criminal complaint against them.
