Change your WordPress Password from MySQL( PhPMyAdmin)



To reset password from MySQL we need the following credentials

  • mySQL user ID and Password
  • Database Name
  • pHpmyadmin URL

if you dont have MySQL Credentials Login to your FTP account and download wp-config.php, it looks like this

Now login to your PhpMyAdmin with this user ID and password and select the database name here it is ‘mywordpress’


Now a List of tables will appear on right pane, out of these select wp_users, click on it


Now click on Edit Link, on the user name you want to edit


Enter New password on user_pass text field and select MD5 on function column and press Go Button below

Done Password changed for the user selected, Now try login with the changed password
